Domestic violence can come in many forms and against both genders. It is not always as black and white as "husband hits wife in act of rage" and countless victims of domestic violence suffer in silence or may not even be aware that the behaviour that they are being subjected to constitutes domestic violence.

What many people on the outside fail to realise is that for any victim of domestic violence, the threat never really goes away. Research has shown the rate of re-offense is around 30-40% and it is therefore imperative that the right advice is sought at the right stages.
