Maddy Jobson and Hayley Southern, daughter and granddaughter of Freda Jobson, recently appeared on ITV This Morning to discuss Freda's appalling treatment whilst she was in care.
Following on from this they are encouraging people to sign their online petition to install CCTV cameras in all care homes to help prevent neglect and abuse. They recognise the associated issues of the need for dignity and privacy but argue that if this is done correctly then it would work.
Over the course of three years, frail 85-year-old Freda Jobson was the victim of mental and physical torment - at the hands of those who should've been caring for her. After dropping to four stone, suffering agonising bedsores and being subjected to mental abuse Freda's family installed a spy camera in her room - and witnessed first hand the severity of her ill treatment.
