I’m a Solicitor in the Family department concentrating on international family law and international child abduction. I specialise in helping customers in matters involving Forced Marriage, honour based violence, abandoned spouses and domestic violence.
I enjoy the variety of work I am involved with and find it rewarding helping customers with domestic and international Wardship proceedings and international contact disputes, as well as advising customers in surrogacy cases, especially where there is a foreign element. I also represent customers in complex private law children proceedings concerning residence and contact disputes.
I am a Member of the Law Society Family law panel and hold advanced accreditation in the field of International Child Abduction and Private Law in relation to children which means I have been assessed and adjudged as an expert in this field.
I’m also on the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit (ICACU) and Reunite panels of recommended solicitors which demonstrates the faith other organisations have in my ability to help customers to achieve the solution that is right for them. Being multilingual and able to speak Punjabi, Hindu and Urdu as well as English has helps considerably in international cases.
I regularly advise customers on The Hague Convention, Brussels II and the European Convention.
I studied Law at Birmingham University and graduated in 2006. I completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law Birmingham gaining a Distinction in Family Law.
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym and travelling.
